So ive never been drafted before, so i will tell you about a fantasy draft party i had instead.
for my dynasty fantasy league, our first rookie draft was an interesting one. In easily my worst trade in this league, and one of the worst in league history, i traded my first overall pick for christine michael(i bought into the LT hype), ronnie hillman(was cut 2 years later) , and the 10th overall pick. first pick of that year: Todd Gurley. fuckin rip.
So i traded up from the 10th overall pick to the 5th overall pick to get Jameis Winston. This was all a plan to just flip him to another guy for Cam Newton. this was 2015, so i got his pre-MVP price, much cheaper, and i am VERY happy with that trade.
With my second pick, at 16th overall, i picked Bryce Petty. I had just committed to Baylor, so i was very excited for this pick. It wasnt a great pick by any means, but it wasnt the worst up until this point. However i did miss out on some really solid prospects.
Next was a trade that at the time i was terrified about, but now i feel confident about. I traded Julian Edelman for the 29th overall pick. With that pick i grabbed Devin Funchess. It was a lot of value to give up, but I loved Funchess out of college, and him going to WR hungry Carolina made me really excited for him. In the end, injuries have hampered Edelman, and Funchess has finally emerged as a true #1 wideout, so i am happy with the decision i made
