Basically how each defense does over the season is given a value. So BAL had about a league average defense. Based on the value the defense got, that number is divided among the players on the defense. So Delacour basically gets a piece of the Hawks defense pie based upon his stats. If Delacour and Jonathan King switched teams, put the same exact stats up, and the defenses performed exactly the same, Delacour would rise in these rankings and King would fall because OCO's defense was so good in S7.
