You may have heard of the next great NSFL linebacker, Jesse Marchand. Maybe not. So far he's been tearing it up in the DSFL, putting up tackle after tackle and making some great plays for the San Antonio Marshals this season. The Marshals have opened the year with a 4-0 record, an astronomical leap from their dismal previous season. They look to continue to dominate in the DSFL for the rest of this campaign. But how would the tables turn if Marchand had chosen another path, one that many had professed upon him when he began playing football in the Montreal area. For a well build kid like Jesse, destiny always pointed him towards the roll of running back, where he would be able to use his brute strength to power through defenders and shed them like corn from a cob. Somewhere along the line though, Marchand found himself playing opposite the ball from his twin brother which placed a divide between the two and drove Jesse to become an outstanding player. While it's not quite true that this divide is the sole reason for Jesse being so successful as a linebacker, it may be one of the factors that has influenced his skill.
