At the same time I know how much scheming Adam does when building his teams so he clearly has a plan in mind that maybe just didn't align with when Fitzpatrick was coming into the league. I think this next QB class is going to be very deep so he took the risk of waiting another season. As a member of the original Philly draft class I'm excited to see if the leadership can take this team from the ground up yet again.
That being said I do think Fitzpatrick probably has the highest ceiling of any QB prospect from the past few drafts and likely the next few as well. Considering where Bronko is at in his career as well, Arizona got an absolute steal.
I call him Fitz a lot as well. And honestly, he's not a generational talent. Maximus (2 seasons before) and Falconi (next season) appear to be the same caliber. I think that with the QB options available next year, waiting was not a bad idea at all. This season will be extremely rough for them, but in 3 seasons, when Philly has their new QB starting and are ahead of Yellowknife and Baltimore, things will be looking up. I genuinely believe they will make the playoffs before Arizona will, just due to competition.
