The Yeti's preseason did not go as hoped. Many analysts viewed the Yeti as a top team entering the year but they finished the preseason with a disappointing 1-3 record. The season began with a rout at the hands of the Baltimore Hawks who beat the Yeti by 22 points. The Yeti's defense tightened up after that game and they overcame the Outlaws by holding them to 13 points. The Yeti continued to hold their opponents below 20 points in the next two games but the offense struggled to put up points. The Yeti finished the preseason with a two game skid against the Wraiths and the Sabercats. Going forward, the Yeti will strive to remain stout on defense while putting up more points offensively. The Yeti scored just 3 touchdowns compared to 7 field goals so a main focus will be to see if they can execute better in the red zone and convert more touchdowns. If the Yeti can score more touchdowns, they may be able to reach a level more in line with their hype entering the season. Despite a disappointing preseason, the Yeti are confident they will be able to make adjustments and utilize their talent to become one of the top teams in the league.
