Yellowknife is completely different from San Jose in almost completely evey conceivable way. The small Canadian town barely registers as a city when compared with the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. Practically everything revolves around the Wraiths as their main source of publicity and entertainment. These kinds of things never really meant anything to Brad Pennington, but it's certainly a departure from the secondary act the SaberCats had to play in San Jose. A team that's only a season removed from an Ultimus win has to be taken seriously, and the local populace comes out in support of their franchise in near blizzard conditions every single game. As for the team itself, Brad is reunited with his Tijuana teammates and brothers, Thad and Chad Pennington. They were never really apart of the equation for why Brad eventually ended up in the frozen wastes of the North, but they're a welcome set of familiar faces. Other than those two, nobody else inspires any sort of particular feelings for Brad. Sure you have legends like Eric Kennedy and Boss Tweed, but a connection just doesn't exist with these players Brad has only seen for 2 games a season since he's been in the NSFL.
