WRITTEN: Football teams have to travel, that is a given, from Orange County to Yellowknife to Baltimore, life is spent with long travel days. Write at least 200 words on how your player or your team pass the time while traveling (How are you riding, who are you interacting with, what are you doing, etc).
Sandy Bakshi may be the newest player on the Tijuana Luchadores, having just been claimed off of waivers, but he's no stranger to the football life and all the traveling, waiting, and more traveling that it entails. Sandy has earned a reputation as someone with incredible focus and a serious attitude, and he brings that with him as he travels. Studying the playbook and opposing offenses make up a good portion of his time traveling, but they often give way to a stranger hobby: Knitting. Sandy feels that this repetitive task, slowly working in parts toward a greater whole, helps him to focus on his assignments in a game working toward a win. He is someone who views his life in a holistic sense, his on-field performance and his everyday life aren't separate, but rather the two are melded together. He is a professional linebacker when he washes his dishes, and a regular guy when he blitzes the quarterback, and knitting helps him bridge the two. He also does it as a way to show his teammates that he's unafraid of criticism, if he can confidently knit on a bus or plane full of football players they can trust him to stick up for his teammates even after their worst mistakes. As for the items he knits? He either donates them to charity or hands them out to fans at games.
