(S13) - PT 3 - NSFL Appreciation Week

The NSFL is the only sim league I participate in. I tried out the EFL for awhile but it was not for me. The NSFL has its issues but the league as a whole is filled with great people and a lot of good relationships can be built here. I have told this story before to some people but I will repeat it as it is a great turning point in my life. When I joined the NSFL in the inaugural season on May 25 2017 my wife was 9 months pregnant. This would be my first child and I had no experience, nor was I prepared for the changes in my life that were about to happen. This league provided me an outlet of fantasy that I needed in my life so I could avoid the sad realization of what was happening. My son, who I love to death was not an easy baby, nor were the post birth results with my wife. Between numerous infections, tests, no help from my family or friends, we were stuck in a rock and a hard place. No sleep, crying baby, crying wife, tons of work… the only thing I had to hold onto that was a stable place was here. Thank you NSFL!
