When I first came to the DSFL, I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. Luckily I had a great coach and mentor in San Antonio in the form of Angus Winchester. He really showed me the ropes and took the time to develop me as a player and as a person. I had a ton of fun back in those days, lots of good friends on the Marshals. Each game was an enjoyable one and I was pleased with my progress as a defensive lineman. When I was drafted in the first round in the following NSFL draft, I was over the moon. I couldn't have gotten to that point without the experiences I had as a member of the San Antonio Marshals. As time passes by, I find myself identifying more and more with my current NSFL team and starting to drift away from where it all started, but no matter the distance I'll always be able to look back upon my time with the Marshals and smile, knowing that they gave me all of the time, energy, and resources I needed to become the best player that I could. And for that, I thank you San Antonio.
