Oh man was my time in the DSFL a hectic one. Joining a team that moved from Kansas City to Chicago was totally bizarre, especially since fans in both cities were seemingly angry with us. The Kansas City fans felt betrayed for us leaving them, and how could you blame them? But as rumors came out that we weren't going to stay in Chicago for more than just that season, the Windy City fans turned on us pretty quickly. Compound that with an extremely talented team that was underperforming (partially due to the reasons listed above) and you have a rough start to your career.
That Coyotes team was very interesting though. We ended up having the #1 overall pick in the draft in Cordell Joshua, and the three most talented and most recognized names from that draft class (myself, Borkus Maximus III, and the artist formerly known as Poopyface Tomatonose, Jaylon Broxton) were all from that team, yet we couldn't win if our lives depended on it. I certainly didn't help, as I was focused both on finishing my degree at school halfway across the country and kicking at the same time, and both ends suffered because of it. But I wouldn't change my experience for the world, as it really developed me into a prepared player for the professional level.
