Tyron Brackenridge attended the University of Maryland, which was his only scholarship offer for an American school for a total of three seasons before declaring for the draft. Tyron also managed to avoid being redshirted his first season as he continued to learn the new rules compared to the Canadian game that he had grew up playing throughout his life.
His junior season was arguably his best season as he became accustomed to the game and began to lead the defense with all his collegiate career highs coming in his final season with 63 tackles, 3 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, and 2 touchdowns.
Off the field was where Tyron Brackenridge was able to shine through his hard work in the classroom and in other events. The vast differences between Canada and America also provided Tyron the ability for unique experiences such as State Fairs, historic sites, and a proto-typical college experience. Tyron enjoyed these experiences so much that he plans on going back after his playing career and getting his degree in Buisness.
Although his team may not have been able to win a national championship he notes that his time in bowl games and other playoff matches were the best part about his collegiate career as the excitement of the entire schools and states were behind the teams, which added to the fun and pressure to perform.
