In an absolutely shocking trade, the San Jose Saber Cats trade LB AC Hackett to the Colorado Yeti in exchange for their second and third round picks. AC Hackett, a core member of the Saber Cats line backing corps, finished his last game against the Yeti with 9 tackles and 2 sacks. We attempted to get in contact with the General Manager of the Saber Cats however we were unable to reach them. We believe that the reason for trading Hackett was that the Saber Cats are planning a full rebuild, similar to the 76ers a few years ago. We would not be surprised if the Saber Cats ship out other pieces of their core in hopes to acquire more young talent and depth through the draft. With the recent influx of prospects, this may end up proving to be a worthwhile move.
The Yeti, on the other hand, may have just received the final piece they need in order to secure the Ultimus trophy. The Yeti already have a solid team near the top of the league in wins; the addition of AC Hackett will only give more depth and talent into an already great defense. We expect to see an even more improved team in the next few weeks from the Yeti.
