In a shocking development, the Orange County Otters have moved most of their draft-stock for the foreseeable future to the Arizona Outlaws for the rights to standout safety Isaiah Rashad. The safety has been one of Orange County Otters QB Mike Boss's favorite targets, throwing 6 interceptions to him in two regular season games.
Rumors out of Santa Ana, the home of the Otters have Rashad going iron-man, playing safety and wide-receiver for the Otters. Reasoning behind the decision includes "Why mess with chemistry? We have two good WR options, but can always use a 3rd for certain formations, and Rashad catches every one of Boss's passes in his direction. It only makes sense!"
The blockbuster deal makes a bit of sense for the Otters. They take away a dangerous weapon from a conference rival, a player who nearly single-handedly can be given credit with the Outlaws 2-0 record against the Otters. The move would also be improving their already stout defense. One of the few faults that can be found in the Otter's defense is a lack of turnovers, Rashad can help alleviate that.
Meanwhile, the Outlaws make away with the Otters first two picks in each of the next two drafts. These picks may take a little bit of time to develop, but who can complain about a 4-for-1 trade?
