Predictions/upset
I'm writing that San Antonio Marshals have a good chance to upset the Tijuana Luchadores and I will be explaining why. Shady and I are better GMs than anyone else in the Development Simulation Football League. We have routinely had the fewest active players play multiple DSFL seasons. Despite having fewer repeat players and no maxed offensive linemen, we have a higher tpe offense and higher tpe Defense than Tijuana. We have the best quarterback. The best two running backs. The best wide receiver. The best tight end. The best Defense line with two of the best defensive ends. The two best linebackers. The best Defensive backs of the league. Tijuana was cocky all season, but San Antonio will prove tonight we are a top DSFl team and continue our run to a Ultimini. Ruff ruff & Mathias will get 200+ rush yards. McMahon will throw zero INTs. And Purchase will get another pick six. And Pete Parker will have another return touchdown. We will have a perfect game and simply destroy Tijuana to a tune of 37-14. After winning all San Antonio supporters will be welcome to party with the team at Eskimo Brothers Database Bed and Breakfast for Eskimo Brothers Database Bed and Breakfast Bacon Lettuce Tomato sandwiches.
Interview a star - @Frick_Nasty player Mo Berry with the Yeti were auto killed from the Playoffs, but still made the playoffs
how did it feal to lose your first playoff game as a GM?
Do you thinking being a GM will be more fun than being HO? And why.
What player do you wish Colorado could trade for, and how would they make the yeti better?
Have you named your dog yet and did you choose that name?
You know coming in Midway through the season expectations were low for us but the ability to get big wins against Yellowknife and Arizona were huge. Making the playoffs itself was a huge accomplishment for this team. Although we lost to Yellowknife in predetermined fashion I expect to see us back in the playoffs next year hopefully with a chance to advance to conference championship and make a run for an ultimus.
I think GM will be loads of fun. I like to think I'm good at figuring out what we need to do to be competitive and I've learned a lot on what it takes to be a GM while being in HO and becoming the DSFL simmer.
I don't think there is one specific player I'd trade for. With this being Morgan Marshalls last year in the NSFL id love to get the Fab V back together for one last ride.
I have yet to name our puppy yet but we got some names narrowed down and we will definitely have something set in stone for the day we bring him home.
Robbed
I got robbed twice. Once for San Antonio Marshals and a second time for Baltimore Hawks. For San Antonio Marshals, according to the tpe tracker, we finished the season with the second highest tpe offense and the highest tpe defense. Yet we lost back to back games to Kansas City that knocked us out of home field advantage for the playoffs. Despite not having home field advantage, we were testing a 50% win rate against Tijuana. You’d think after not winning a playoff game for over five seasons, the sim would let us finally win a playoff game during one of San Antonio’s best seasons ever. Nope we got crushed. For whatever reason, despite setting our strats to max run we kept trying to throw it.
For Baltimore Hawks we pulled of upset against favorites Yellow Knife Wraiths to get past the conference championship into the Ultimus. However, the sim decided that from the conference championship through the ultimus the away team shall win. My team got robbed twice. Between the two I think San Antonio losing to Tijuana yet again hurt the most. As indicated by illegaloctopus in his “Ranking the DSFL Team’s Draft Success”, Shady and I had the best draft of the S18 class with 3 more active players translating to 500+ more total tpe than any other DSFL team. I don’t know why, but the sim just hates San Antonio and it hurts that no matter how good the team might be, we won’t win a playoff game.
Draft Focus
Well Scorp and I do not get to draft for Baltimore Hawks until round three of the National Simulation Football League Season eighteen Draft. We do have three 3rd round picks. With such a loaded class it is hard to guess who might drop that far. Further to prevent any draft leaks, I will only be talking about Baltimore’s current roster needs. I keep hearing that Baltimore has an aging team. In my opinion that is not a good assessment of who we are. We have a wide receiver, a quarterback, and several cornerbacks that are just now hitting their peak seasons. We have several young studs including two safeties and one of the league's best running backs. Objectively our oldest positions are linebacker, tight end, and defense line. That said there are not a lot of max TEs in the league in general. Every team needs for players on the defense line. So the biggest hole to fill is linebacker. With the picks we have for this draft, we might just have to bite the bullet and leave a few holes empty until the next reddit class when hopefully we can make some moves to gain a few picks in that draft. Overall I don’t think our team is as thin as people perceive us to be.
