I am still pretty heated about this, but apparently how this league breaks ties to decide who goes to the playoffs (well the tie from the start of the year) by wins and losses. What the hell? That seems a bit unfair to me, especially since when I look at the index the New Orleans Second Line only won four games last season, so they did not make the playoffs. Crazy right? I was absolutely shocked that we did not make the playoffs simply because we had the least amount of wins this season. Sports am I right? What SHOULD have been the tie breaker is that all teams that are located in New Orleans should win the championship, no need to even hold the playoffs. I think that seems the most fair for everyone here. If the league does not like that proposal, the tie breaker to win the championship should be whatever team has a player with the last name Slothface. I really think that would leave everyone happy with a sense of great accomplishment. It would relieve a lot of stress of the teams too I would imagine (except for bidding for this Slothface player in free agency I guess). Either way the league should look into this weird win / loss thing they have going on. (219 words)

I think the New Orleans Second Line will win the Ultimus next year (especially if the league adopts my proposals above). Why do I think this? Well we are a fairly young team overall, so a bunch of our picks from the last draft have slowly been improving. They should provide a much needed talent boost next season in the big easy. I think that our defense has a real chance to be a top unit in the NSFL next season if we all keep working hard in the weight room and on the practice field. I know I am pretty motivated to have a better season, so I'm hoping that I can kind of help lead the charge in that respect. We also have the first pick in the upcoming NSFL draft (hell ya for being the worst baby) so I think we are going to add not only a real strong talent at one overall, but we will add a brilliant mind to the squad too. Just speculation but I am excited about that. Also, I think we were in a few close games last season that didn't bounce our way, so I'm hoping the sim is more kind to us in the upcoming season. Lastly, I really hope that free agents take us seriously because I do think we are really right there as far as being successful. The war room last off season put together a few good free agent pitches that should have worked, hopefully we are more successful this season with those signings. (259 words)

I am going to recap the Ultimus game between the Orange County Otters and the Baltimore Hawks (wow I had to look up where the Hawks are from, I am just the best NSFL user). The Otters marched into Baltimore and snatched the trophy away from the Hawks with a super consistent offensive performance: they scored a touchdown in every quarter to end up winning the game 28-17. Their defense pitched shutouts in quarters two and four as well, so overall their team did pretty damn well to earn the victory on the road. Rookie quarterback Franklin Armstrong had himself a day for the Otters, throwing for 287 yards and 3 touchdowns with no interceptions. Armstrong also added a touchdown of his own on the ground to round out the complete OC scoring. All three of his throwing touchdowns went to different receivers, and their rushing attack was fairly evenly spread out among the two running backs and the quarterback. It is actually pretty dang impressive to see a very balanced offense on the road, and I'm guessing this is why they are champions. Overall the Otter defense was solid. They didn't have any takeaways and only three sacks, so they just thrived on stifling the Hawks offense with punts I guess, although it looks like both teams punted the same amount. A fun thing with the Otters defense is they don't have anyone tied for tackles until you get to 1: 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 1. So that is neat I guess. (258 words)

Written: Got screwed by the tiebreaker into making the playoffs of getting a bye? Write about what happened and what it should have been as a tiebreaker?
