Considering we play down in San Antonio and our division opponents are all in warm places, we've had to do some extra preparations for later on in the season if we have to play in some cold climates. I suggested to the team that maybe we could head up to my home state and use the field at UMass. I figured my coach would be welcoming of us and would let us practice in some colder conditions, so the date was made and off we went. A bonus for this was that I got to meet a lot of my younger teammates, apparently I'm a kind of local legend there nowadays, but it was a good practice. Lots of the guys weren't used to the cold and just stood on the sidelines in those big coats trying to stay warm, and it didn't help that a strong wind was blowing across the field. I'm somewhat used to the cold already despite spending several seasons down in San Antonio but I feel like it was a good practice for all of us. We need to be playing in some tougher conditions. We've had a fairly rough stretch of games this season and we really need to be playing at our best if we're gonna go all the way in the playoffs this year.
