(S18) - PT4 - Fall

Welcome to Chicago.
On Halloween, we had three and a half inches of snow. Less than a week before, we were at around 60 degrees. The Fall in Chicago does not make sense. Leaves did not "fall" this year. They were shed all at once when they couldn't handle the weight of the literal ice raining down on them. Not snow, not hail. I'm talking about rain that it's so cold out that it is the closest thing to ice as possible and it is clumped together so tightly and carries weight as it crashes to the ground.
Chicago is a true meteorological hell-scape where only the toughest survive. There are very few places in the world that see the amount of weather whiplash this city gets, nor do they often see the extremes that roll through at strange times. High 60s in December? Check. Low 20s in late May? Check. The City of Chicago truly does not give a fuck about your ability to survive and does whatever the fuck it wants.

This is why Chicago weather is truly the greatest home field advantage in this league. You know what to expect anywhere else in the league. Yellowknife is cold, duh. Arizona is hot, duh. What's Chicago gonna be like? I don't fucking know.
