The fans of the Yellowknife Wraiths have a strange; and heartbreaking to some, chant that they use when the Wraiths defense is defending on the goal line. With opposing offenses trying to break through and score a short yardage touchdown the fans loudly chant "Hold the door, hold the door, hold the door!" Inspired by the late great Hodor. It becomes even more Whitewalker-esque, or Wraith-esque when the defnesive line breaks through the line and makes something happen in the backfield, similar to the Whitewalkers breaking through the door while good ol' Hodor holds it tight. Mark Ramrio or Tyler Varga stabbing through the line and making a play to crush the end of the oppositions drive. The defense responds to this chant that the fans have created, getting fired up and ready to make a big stop. It is without a doubt a big part of the motivation for the Wraiths defense when they are digging deep to make a game saving stop. Pablo Sanchez has come up huge multiple times on the goal line this season for the Wraiths and he credits the fans with the motivation and fire he had to push that extra mile and make the huge stops. The fans are passionate and into every game, and it is clear that the team would not have the success they have enjoyed this far if not for their amazing fans.
