the whole crux of the problem was they thought she was speaking for HO when she decidedly was not trying to speak as HO

why do think all the HO/slm are posting "yeah posting as me, not as HO" now

And maybe this is one of the lessons that can be learned from this whole situation. I can tell you, even as a GM, I try to separate my decision-making in that role from my personal opinions. And I try to make it clear when I'm speaking as a player and not a GM.
