When people think of Legions, most of the thoughts go towards the Byzantine empire. Perhaps more commonly known as the Roman empire, they left a storied legacy of architecture, disciplined soliders and civilizing barbaric cultures. While all of these activities are something the fans can't really do during the game the do understand where the background of where the Legion is coming from. So what, can I ask, could people do to represent the Byzantine empire in a meaningful way? Costumes, of course! Our fans almost always come decorated in all forms of attire from that era straight from the streets of the Vegas Strip. While some of the costumes are, to put it kindly, absolutely ridiculous, others are extremely well done. Several chants and shouts go up but none of them are particularly clever at the moment. Cries of "Go Legion!" and "Fuck the Otters!" or "Long live Varga!" are about all they have going for them now. Our fans are incredible people who work hard for a living and when they blow off steam they scream with all their might in the incredible empty parking lot stadium! This is just while the team scours the area looking for a stadium in which they can actually play.
