While I'm pretty sure that Clee Hardrool is the obvious #1 player in the whole league, I think that Alexander Selich should be in the TOP 50 as well, despite of his laziness on the practice field. First of all, we can't ignore his 128 tackles, good for second in the league. That's already enough to put him on this list, but also he has another solid stats, like 3 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, 7 sacks, 1 interceptions and 6 passes deflected. These are good numbers enough to have him as more than just a TOP 50 player. Maybe he'll even be able to make the TOP 20 as his defensive game helped the struggling Sabercats team to not suck even more. I'm not saying that San Jose had bad defenders as some of them also had some decent numbers, but Selich was doing what the linebacker is supposed to do - not allowing opponents to make a long rushes.
So say what you want about Selich's commitment to this game, but his stats are showing to us he's a TOP 50 player at least. I don't know how he's going to perform in the next season, but for now he's one of the best defenders in the NSFL league.
