The game finished 29-6, and most of the Outlaws partied through the night. As we all know, later within the night, a trade had taken place moving the star player out of Arizona and to Las Vegas where he will hope to have the same caliber of play. We finally were able to get a hold of the young star and decided to ask him a few questions... here's what ensued..
Isaiah, coming off of such a huge victory, how did it strike you when you found out that you had been traded to the Las Vegas Legion?
"Well...when my agent called me and told me I was initially shocked. I am out partying with the boys, still feeling the amazing high that comes from winning the NSFL in such a dominant factor, then suddenly it all gets ripped away from me."
So do you feel negative about this trade? What are your thoughts now that you have had some time to think about it?
"I dont feel negative at all about this trade. The Arizona front office took a chance on me as a very low draft pick...I did my job and came in and worked as hard as possible to give them one of the best DB's in the league. If they dont want me or want the talent that I bring to the table then I guess that's all there is to it. They couldn't even tell me beforehand that I was being traded. But that's all in the past now, I am looking forward and going to give the Las Vegas Legion everything that I have and want to make their defense the best in the league. That will all come with hard work and dedication."
Do you think you can be as successful with the Legion as you have been with the Outlaws?
"I see nothing but success in our future. I was arguably the best DB in the league last season and that won't change this season. I will be even better than I was last year. I will help lead this team to a championship and nothing will stop me from making that happen. Constant improvement is the key to success."
Has anybody from the Outlaws reached out to you? Have you maintained any relationships?
"Nobody has reached out to me. Maybe they don't even know, or maybe they just don't care. But honestly, it doesn't matter. This is a job, and now being with the Legion, I have different co-workers but the same goal. It will all work out amazing and I hope this roster and front office can respect the amount of talent and dedication they will be receiving day in and day out. New relationships will form, old ones will break. We are in the same division now, we have business to settle."
Thank you for the interview Isaiah, anything you want to say to the fans?
"Thank you to all Arizona fans that believed in me through everything! I am sorry that I wont be an outlaw anymore but I hope that you can still support me in my new home and new role. And to all the Las Vegas Legion fans out there, lets go win a championship. I promise to make you proud and give you every bit of my energy. Thank you for this opportunity."
That's all we have for today! Thank you for watching and we hope for the best for Isaiah Rashad in his future endeavors.
Beyond happy to have the most dominating defensive back for years to come here in Vegas!
