I disagree, but you made a great point. I don't really expect a team to "obey" me and pass on me if I am the BPA. Look at the NFL. Eli Manning and John Elway famously said they wouldn't play for the #1 team, both got drafted anyways, then traded. Value is value.
Remember that I said I would play for any team, but only wanted to talk to the GM (or player coach) about what they wanted and/or how to make it work. That a single message was too much to ask for a first round prospect I found insulting, and I don't want to be surrounded by people I feel insulted by. That's what work is for.
((Also, remember for me that this is a role play, and a fantasy. I've played this character as a loud mouth, as proud. This just fits too well))
