Going into the DSFL Playoffs, the Portland Pythons are in a similar situation this season to close out the year. They will have to close out the last 2 weeks with a solid record just to squeak in. With that being said, I think its obvious that Portland would be the dark horse through the playoffs if they do make it in. The defense has been pretty sharp and if the Offense can control the time of possession, they have the legs to make a run. Compared to last season, the Portland offense has relied far more on its running than passing and that seems to have helped keep some games close. It should be interesting to see how they close out the year on the road. As far as Slinky Claxton goes, I think he will be able to surprise teams in the playoffs. He is a fierce defensive leader and will bring everyone together when it matters most. Not to mention, being one of the better run stoppers in the league. If Portland cant get it done in the regular season finale, I think the Minnesota Grey Ducks will win the Ultimini. They have the best Defense in the DSFL this season and that should be enough to carry them all the way. Even with Tijuana holding a great record going into the end of the year, I think they would be outmatched by whomever comes out of the NFC.
