The Outlaws sadly did not make the playoffs. But Thomas Passmann will still be making trouble at home and reminiscing on his first season in the pros. He has made some predictions about the playoffs, suspecting that against all odds the Sarasota Sailfish could make a Cinderella run in their division. They have been quite strong for a new team and are only getting stronger as they build more cohesion together, gain experience, and adjust to the league. But ultimately Passmann sees the Yellowknife Wraiths as the favorites. They have been solid contenders for many consecutive seasons now, and should have the leadership and experience needed to give them that extra push. If any team is capable of finding a strategic edge, it is Yellowknife; they can prove themselves worthy of the Ultimus trophy. It will not be an easy feat most certainly, as many other teams want to win that championship and they want it badly. But the regular season did not show the full extent of Yellowknife’s prowess, and Passmann thinks the NSFL world will really see them explode onto the scene and make a heroic run. Their effort and their diligence will be their defining qualities, and may prove to be what is needed to emerge victorious in a hard fought playoffs.
