Not trying to be a homer, but the Dallas Birddogs have had an impressive resurgence this season and are playoff hopefuls. In a conference with a tight race for 2nd place (where each team currently sits at 6-6), the Birddogs have made improvements after their debut season in the DSFL. Rookie running back Kichwa Jones is putting up an impressive season, currently sitting at 1241 yards, second place in the DSFL, with 5.3 ypc. On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Blade McCoy has quickly emerged as one of the top linebackers not only in his draft class but the entire league, racking up 123 tackles for fourth in the league. Dallas is counting on these stars to establish a strong ground game and smothering defense with playoff expectations on the horizon. With two games left, they are in position to make that push to get over the hump.
They have left to face the Royals and Coyotes, respectively, where the Birddogs are the favorite in both games. If you were a betting man, you'd be wise to put money on Dallas. Their thirst for the playoffs only fuels them more, giving them the chip on the shoulder we see on great teams time and time again.
