The Seawolves don their helmets as they make their way to the 50-yard line. The team is prepared, poised, ready to attack as the coach blow the whistle to start the play. The quarterback, Skywalker, gets the ball in his hands and stares down the field, shuffling left and right as he dodges the defense. He sees an opening and pulls back his arm to throw in three, two, one…
The Norfolk Seawolves are obviously ready to bring home their first Utlimini trophy. Although there was some concern at the beginning of the season that the Seawolves had a limited receiving core, Brosley, Haugland, Sunrise, and rest of the team have stepped up to prove their worth, bringing the win/loss record to 6-6, coming in 2nd in the SFC South. The defense have also proven their mettle, with Banks capping out already rookie players like Sinclair and and Karpaasi already going over 130 TPE.
And of course, at the helm of the Norfolks’ ship are the two capped out and excellent quarterbacks, Suleiman Ramza and Luke Skywalker. Skywalker in his rookie season won performance of the year and was voted to be the DSFL All Pro Second Team QB. He was also came in second for both quarterback of the year and offensive rookie of the year. His merit has been proven on and off the field. Ramza this season has also exploded out of his shell, leading his team to several key victories and rallying the Seawolves.
Although they may be underdogs, with their qbs, offense, and defense, the Seawolves are the dark horse winner for the Ultimini. It’ll be fun to watch the rest of their season and their future.
