Won't be in the playoffs this season, so will be watching from home. Anyways here's some thoughts about how I see things playing out.
Going into the playoffs, Tijuana appear to be the favourites to take home the Ultimini. The Luchadores finished the regular season with the best record and securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Tijuana will host the Norfolk Seawolves who secured second place in the DSFL South with a 8-6 record, ending the season on the back of 2 straight wins. With home field advantage and a well rounded roster, I think that Tijuana will come away with a win and represent the DSFL South in the Ultimini.
Over on the DSFL North, we have the Minnesota Grey Ducks facing the London Royals. The Grey Ducks finished with the best record in the DSFL North and will have home field advantage in their matchup against the Royals. Minnesota had a slow start to the year but finished strong on route to an 8-6 record with a defense which conceded the fewest points in the regular season. The Royals enter the playoffs having finished with 6-8 record. I think that Minnesota will come away with the win. Strong defense with some weapons on offense coupled with home field advantage. With that being said if the Royals win that'd be pretty cool too.
So in the Ultimini I have Tijuana playing at home against Minnesota. I think it'll be a competitive matchup, but with home field advantage I give the edge to Tijuana.
