Firstly, hello to you both, thanks for all the work you do.
There has been a lot of feedback since the newsletter came out in regards to the TPE changes, with many users citing the cutting of predictions while leaving Trivia in as a poor decision. Clearly this was not a decision made solely by HO, but given the feedback thus far how do you plan to move forward?
Did you guys know the league has a rule book? I had no idea.... found out like two days ago. (While this is true.... here's a chance for bex to talk about how important the rule book is.)
Now that I've given you a chance to discuss the rulebook, lets talk about everyone's least favorite rules: Tampering. Most of the recent punishments that have come down from HO have been tampering related. How does the league address tampering moving forward? As somebody who felt the Zamir violation was a bit weak, I'd be curious to hear if there are considerations among HO to lighten the current slate of tampering rules.
Following up my last question, and I know goodfortunecoffee touched on it, but lets talk about the rise of Agents. With the current tampering rules in place, it seems almost impossible for an agent to have..... well.... agency. Given HO has allowed these two agencies permission to open, how do you foresee them operating in the league? What purpose do they serve? How will they inevitably not tamper? How many agencies does HO expect to allow?
Following up on agencies, lets talk salary cap. Bex you've said in the past the cap is adjusted based on how much teams are spending on players, OLine bots, etc. and adjusted accordingly. With the potential "rise of agencies" if players begin taking larger deals from teams, how will this effect the salary cap? You've voiced a desire to see it shrink in the not so distant past, but agencies would seem to run antithetical to that, how do you see the two co-existing?
The NFL has the option of a Franchise Tag. The ability to keep a player, past their contract for additional years, at an exponentially rising cap cost, allowing the team to keep the player from entering free agency. Will we ever see such a thing implemented in the NSFL?
Speaking of Free Agency... The period is so short and ill represented. For a league that thrives off the draft, trades, and player movement how do we make the Free Agency period have more impacl on the league? As someone who follows the league closely, I only knew about two free agents entering the period and that's because they both made media pieces... I assume there were more, but it was never discussed. How do we make that more visible for people to be able to interact with?
There have been rumors circulating for a while now about a potential move from Jcink. Any update on that?
With another potentially large Reddit class coming in the next season or two, what are the NSFL and DSFL HO's doing to prepare both themselves and the teams?
If you work your way through all of these, it's much appreciated! You guys are fantastic, thanks for being you.
