Maybe as someone newer to the league I just don't have the kind of perspective to see and understand the position you both expressed. I must say that it was disheartening to hear a commissioner of the league say that if we don't like the state of the rules around tampering that we should leave and go to another league. I still want to read these comments generously though, and I would like to hear more about both of your perspectives on why we need rules on tampering and why we need to have a system that deals out hefty penalties for comments made by players like retrospace (I know some think this punishment may have been too lenient for the infraction, I mean only to say that the punishment is fairly harsh [in my perspective] in the abstract). My point of view at this time is that so much of a player's experience in the NSFL is dictated by their teams, teams that they have no real control over deciding for the first two seasons at the very least. I would very much like the ability to talk to people in other teams more freely about their own teams, to get a better perspective on all of the fractured communities inside the NSFL, and to talk with others about the decisions that they would like to make on their journey through the NSFL. I guess think of it very much like employees at the same company not being able to talk with a co-worker about their paycheck or about their workload or anything about the different experiences they might be having and any opportunities for an individual to explore a better opportunity for themselves. I hope that makes sense and explains why I currently am in favor of changing the current rules around and enforcement for tampering.
