There’s usually a little more leeway shown to, for example, New User A who writes a backstory light on league content because they’re new and they need money to afford to improve their player. I think there was less league content in the post in question than many of those linked, and I think ‘league characters play a tabletop game’ is far more removed from ‘league characters do things related to their football career’ and that it’s fair to take that into account. I’d also disagree with the notion that more divorced from football necessarily makes it more creative or that creativity should be one of the more important factors when grading an NSFL media piece.
I don’t think it’s absurd to scrutinise longer pieces more, either.
Of the articles listed, none of them have anything to do with a football career. What you did at a BBQ is not career related. Getting arrested over fireworks and not mentioning anything about league backlash is not career related. Being investigated by the FBI about things completely irrelevant to football while not mentioning the league isn't career related.
