As been mentioned, for some people role playing is a big part when it comes to their player and while the statistical articles are fantasy and I applaud all the work people put into those kind of articles. I don't see why we have an issue with articles that are about a player who is a part of the league, but isnt related to the numbers of the sim.
Jiggly for example has always been someone who made entire stories behind their players, which hey not always related to howmany touch downs Jenkins scored that week for instance, but were still related to the player. Should that be seen as a lesser article than little timmy who writes about how his player scored 2 touchdowns that week? I dont think so.
I did not mean to sound like I don’t support players and writers with great back stories that put tons of effort into their articles. My suggestion isn’t one I suspect would gain any traction at all but I wanted to offer up a way, a bad one obviously but a way nonetheless, to possibly increase the desire for more numbers articles or something to get more players interested in the analysis side of the league. I understand that only the minimal number of people are even remotely interested in that stuff but I was thinking of something in a quickly written article. One thing I have seen was to increase the payout for statistical articles while keeping other media the same. While I doubt that gains any momentum, my main gripe was articles that are long winded articles that don’t address some major back story or analysis and are just short money grabs about not much.
