CB, Man to Man - The man to man cornerback wins with athleticism, and is the fastest and most agile player on the field. They tend to play by instinct rather than by sound technique and knowledge of the playbook, so they can be burnt deep on double moves, but their blazing speed allows them to be aggressive as they are able to chase down receivers when they get beat. With the worst hands of all archetypes, they might not get quite as many interceptions as others, but when they do, they are likely to return it for a touchdown with their elite return ability, which also make them elite special teams players.

CB, Zone - The opposite of man to man, the zone cornerback uses technique and intelligence to put themselves in the best position to avoid mistakes. They are not as athletic as their peers, lacking the speed of man to man corners, but read the quarterback well and have great hands, resulting in a few more interceptions than other archetypes.

CB, All-Around - The biggest and strongest of the cornerbacks, the all-around cornerback does everything well. They do not have the top end speed that the man to man cornerbacks have, but match zone corners in speed and intelligence while also being the best tacklers. They are the best run defenders, and also have better ball skills than man to man, though not quite as good as the zone cornerback.
