(S2) - Weekend PT #2 - Rookies first practice

Training Day was a fantastic movie... wait that's not what I'm supposed to talk about. Training camp just got underway and it was the first one for us rookies and man was it tough. Nothing really prepares you for working out with seasoned veterans, you might think you are strong or fast but when you come across someone who has been doing it for a few seasons they really put you in your place. Bork Björnsson and Dermot Lavelle seemed to be the most comfortable during drills and are showing their capacity for leadership. Kevin Cushing and myself share notes each day and we're pushing ourselves to get to that next level and we will be good for each other, motivating the other to get there. Reyes and Chunk were part of our little group early on but they we pulled away by coaches, there are rumours that they might be getting put into different positions because of their versatility. I mentioned I could try to help out if they needed but I think they like me at safety too much and I'm fine with that. One of the biggest surprises was one of our rookie running backs just up and retired, Domantas Sabonis said pro football was not what he wanted to do. I can't believe he would throw an opportunity away like that, I know some dudes on the streets of Philly that would kill for that chance, maybe I should give them a call...
