My very first game in the ISFL was a very good game. In week 1 of S22, I ran for 111 yards, which sounds really good. However, it took me 29 tries, which meant I was only getting 3.8 yards per carry and everyone tells me that's not very good. Thankfully, though, I did also get 2 rushing touchdowns and 8 catches for 56 yards. They even named me Offensive Player of the Game. Wow! But unfortunately, it got a lot harder from there. A lot of people expected me to be one of the top Running Backs in the league after that first game, but they forget that it's really hard to play in the ISFL... especially for a rookie! The plays that the Outlaws ran were a lot different than the ones the Minnesota Grey Ducks ran, which made it super hard because I basically had to start over. The next few weeks were okay even though I had some ups and downs, but my first really bad week was week 7 when we played the Liberty. The defense was really rough and knocked me around a lot, which was easy because of my size. At times, I wanted to give up, but I didn't becayse I didn't want to let the team down. Unfortunately, I only ran for 22 yards on 11 tries. That's only 2 yards per carry!!! I was so embarrassed. I did catch the ball 4 times, but only got 9 yards because the defense didn't let me get very far with it. Even though I knew pro football would be hard, that was the first game where I really questioned myself. It's been a tough career since that game and I've got plenty of good and bad games, but I was think of that game and tell myself it can only get better.
