a) No representative of a team may provide specific information to a user that would help the prospect create an ideal build, help the user time their player creation, or otherwise attempt to nefariously influence the process of creating a player and joining a DSLF team for their own benefit or to the detriment of another team.
b) No user may share information regarding waiver wire priority with any prospect.
"Hey I'm new can someone help me with building my player?"
"No sorry we'd get fined for it cause that's tampering"
"Oh. That's stupid. Bye"
Glad this rule overwhelmingly failed. Don't see how it'd be good for the league at all, especially in terms of retaining new players, but I'd love to hear differing opinions, assuming they're out there!
I don’t believe the rule is intended to dismiss helping new users, but it’s more for trying to force a new user to do certain things to benefit a team. Like if there is a new user who wants advice on DB builds, but a team comes to that new player and tells them instead switch to LB and use a particular build for them.
I do agree though I think the wording is weird and it was a bad rule with how it is currently worded. I can see why though it was brought up though, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes up again next season, just worded better and more specific.
That is just my two cents though. Others may agree or disagree with me but that is totally fine!
