(S2) - PT #1 - Pre Season Hype

The most hype match of the pre-season, by far, is the Legion vs the Hawks. Why? Because it's the two most talked about rookies in the league, who've already established a rivalry of their own, facing off head-to-head as starting running backs for their respective teams. Who are they? Ardie Savea and Darlane Farlane. The only two starting rookie running backs in the NSFL. Savea has one of the highest (if not the highest) TPE counts of all S2 rookies, while Farlane is among the fastest players in the class. They've already made a bet before going into the season, a whopping $2million each, over who will have more rushing yards on the year. The sum is huge for any players, but it's especially significant for two rookies, when it's equivalent to their first year salary. They will have to hunker down and do a lot of extra work to make up the money, since what could usually be spent has already gone toward a bet and won't be fulfilled until after the season. It will be interesting to see what happens this coming season - the Hawks have greatly improved their O-line an offense as a whole, so Farlane's speed-attack rushing style will be beastly in that mix. Savea is with a brand new team, but his raw skills should carry the load. Let's see how it plays out.
