Including a Players Association

Question, if the job of the Players Association is to protect the players' interests from league power, why would the LEAGUE pay the officers?  Shouldn't players have to give up some of their pay, and have the officer salaries and other PA needs come from that pool?

Set up Union Dues. this can be a small fee taken out of your contract each year. shouldn't be too much if enough people want to be apart of it.
