Growing up in a small town like Gary, Indiana, Drake was used to helping out around the community and supporting small family-owned businesses. When he received his first ISFL contract the first thing he did with it was to help fund the building of a library in the local high school. Every year, around christmas time, Drake becomes the "Santa" for his small town. Kids write letters to santa and the parents post what they themselves can't afford on a private messaging list for Drake to see, and assist paying for. Recently, Drake has enlisted the help of his teammates and other players around the league to expand the ability of the charity. Most notably Melvin Murder-Moose of the Colorado Yeti and Zoe Watts of the Austin Copperheads have started their own lists for their hometowns. Drake did approach Big Edd, but he was quoted as saying "Bro I already give all my contract money to the local strip clubs". So nobody approaches Big Edd anymore for money. For his service Drake has been given a local park bench named after him to be built in the future once Drake has raised enough money for the bench to be built, after enough money is raised for the park to be made, after enough money is raised for the land for the park to be bought from crazy dave.
