You would find me volunteering for a cause that is near and dear to my heart called Alex's Lemonade Stand. This amazing organization was founded in 2005 in order to help fight pediatric cancer. As a person that watched my nephew suffer with neuroblastoma, going out and sacrificing my time to help is the least I could do. "Alex" lost her fight in 2004 at the age of 8, and a that point had already raised 1 million to help find a cure for this horrible disease. As people, we can never understand what it must have been like for her, but we can help her resilience and passion live on in my volunteer work. I have taken part in many events through the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, and will continue to do so until I leave this earth. Every little bit counts, and whether I watch people donate $1 or $50, the real thrill is seeing a community rally together to support a great cause. I am merely a man donating time, as these amazing children are battling a vicious cancer while their families try to stay strong. This is about everyone doing their part, and do yourself a favor, get out there and join the cause. Alex needs us. Be more than you think you are capable of, because you are stronger than you think, and every little bit you do helps the greater good.
