This holiday season Duke Cheeks is going back to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia to volunteer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. CHOA is a great hospital that provides medical care for adolescents. Duke has been involved with CHOA for several years now because his older sister works as a Physicians Assistant at the hospital. Every year him and his family provide a Christmas lunch for the employees that are working on Christmas Day. This year, Duke will be able to provide a much snazzier spread since he has recently come into a lot more money being a professional athlete. After they set up lunch for the employees, Duke will go visit the sick kids and hangout with them for a few hours. He has even promised to participate in a dance competition with one sick 14 year old boy. Duke will also come baring gifts for all of the children. He has bought lots of dolls, action figures, tricycles, and mini cars. Providing for our healthcare professionals and kids that have extended stays in hospitals is one of Dukes passions. Duke hopes that everyone in the ISFL community will lend a hand to their causes that they are passionate about this holiday season because that is what the season is all about!
