The holiday season is not a favorite of Marlon Alexander. The family gatherings, the constant repeating music, the cold weather… it’s all just kind of tedious. Alexander prefers the summer time, when people rely on him to keep things cold. Nevertheless, Alexander still finds ways to feel needed throughout the winter. Lot’s of people like donating toys and gifts to children of need over the holidays. Marlon likes to visit orphanages and hand out cool treats. Usually ice cream! Everyone likes ice cream! According to him, Alexander likes giving out the frozen treats to help kids forget about their dire living situations even if it’s just for a short time. “These kids are forced to grow up too fast. They need a chance to just be kids. This also gives me an opportunity to meet them and show them someone is thinking of them. Sometimes kids don’t really need material things as must as they just need someone to listen.” That’s not to mention the kids almost always love meeting a real life ISFL pro football player as well. This year will be Marlon’s third year doing this. It’s fair to say that over the years, he’s made a lot of fans out of these kids. Marlon would say he’s the one who is the fan of theirs though.
