(S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity!

The Liberty had a shift in management this offseason with the newly appointed General Mangers of Lip Chap & Lip Stashe. The duo wanted to cultivate a culture of teamwork and giving back to the community. The best time to giving is of course the holiday season. The GMs decided to split up the team into Offense & Special Teams and the Defense and for them to work on making this holiday truly special for those in need.

The Offense lead by veteran QB Brock Phoenix decided to do a toy drive for all the local kids in the Philadelphia area whose families were unable to provide the type of holidays these kids deserved. The Offense was able to donate over two thousand toys to kids in need.

The Defense was lead by newcomer Gary Goodman and Doy Fieri. Gary had been very vocal in his one season in Baltimore about the importance of charity and had setup a foundation to feed the homeless. He decided to start another foundation in Philadelphia with his good friend Doy Fieri. Gary was able to solicit enough donations to cater a meal that fed almost one thousand people during the cold Philly winter. Gary learned a few tricks to help cook because of Doy’s vast knowledge. The Goodman Gives foundation will hopefully help the area for years to come and extend it’s reach outside the holiday season.
