You want a bold prediction? How about this, Luke Luechly is going to win defensive player of the year. I know it seems unrealistic, but I think that when the season ends, the Outlaws will be recognized as the best defense in the league and it will be recognized the Luechly has been all over the field. even though he is arguably the third best linebacker on the Outlaws' defense, they have put him in a scheme that tailors to his needs and allows him to make plays when necessary. He is a great compliment to rush the passer and extremely solid in the run. He would likely make the Pro Bowl is the season ended right now. Even though the award usually goes to flashier players or players who were drafted way above the 40th overall pick, I believe that Luechly will only get better and will eventually become a top 3 linebacker in the league down the road. He is a hard worker, dedicated to his craft, and set on being the best. Even as the 40th pick and very underrated by many, he has stepped in as the Brady Stropko replacement and has effectively turned into a dominant linebacker for the Outlaws.
