The Baltimore Hawks will come out of this season at the top of the NSFC. Although they are sitting at 2-2, and third in the NSFC, they have great potential to make this season’s team a winner. Although the prediction might seem a little bold, there are some key statistics to back it up. The Hawks have scored 78 points this year, only two behind the league leading Yeti. The only worrying sign is the defense. Three of the four teams played this year have lackluster offenses (Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Orange County), yet the Hawks have given up 61 points this season, only behind Philadelphia (albeit by a large margin) in the NSFC. However, Baltimore has plenty of time to turn their season around, and I believe the defense will begin to right the ship, led by their twin headed dragon Hendrix and Harrison. Their games against in conference rivals the Wraiths and Yeti will be key, as any slip-ups there could seal their fate this season. Another key game is their game against the SaberCats, which have the highest powered offense in the league. This could prove to be a huge boost for the Baltimore defense if they can pull of the upset. It won’t be easy, but if everyone plays hard, and maybe with a little luck, we could be seeing the Hawks at the top come playoff time. Just remember, you heard it here first.
