The thing about training camp in Berlin this year is that IT. WAS. AWESOME. You know why? I'll tell you why. Every time we looked around the room and thought, "This team can't be beat," another STUD walked into the room. First, we were looking around at our secondary thinking this group is stacked and our best member Matt Krause hadn't even shown up yet. Then ol' Matty boy squeezed through the door - and I mean squeezed! - he had put on almost 200 pounds and had switched to OL over the offseason. Did he tell us he'd been living at McDonalds the last few months? No. But I'm pretty sure he did. Next, as Achtfunf, Skiuuuup and Boyd were running receiving drills, who would walk in the door but the one and only Ty Hood? We all stopped for a minute and looked at coach who just smiled, told him to grab his jersey and join in the drill. As a defender, I was starting to get nervous about all these offensive additions - my life was getting a lot harder in practice, let me tell you. But then in walked just the help I needed, Derred De Ville, the FA linebacker I'd been begging coach to make an offer to. As he walked onto the field, I thought to myself, "This has to be our year." And let me tell you, after training camp was over, the two of us were becoming a two headed monster in the middle of the D. I cannot wait to see how this season plays out. As for secret plays we came up with? Oh yeah. There's loads of them. And I'm not telling you a single one. Let's just say you'll know them when you see them on the field.
