Ah training camp. The new start to a beautiful football season. This was an odd type of camp for Stewart Hellraiser, not one with an official team, but with other free agents looking to be picked up by different DFSL teams. No longer was this about being better than your backup, it was all about opening as many eyes as possible to earn a contract.
It was also unique as Stewart was the lone tight end in attendance. Not hard to be the best tight end out there, but also unique as not many teams need a player of his position. Still he did the very best he could. His agent Muckers O'Houlihan commented on how good he looked running drills and never letting up once. Can't be too upset about that at all
Stewart is still waiting at this time for someone to call him with an offer to play. And as the season does draw near, the worries and doubts do start to creep in a little. As much as he knows he impressed everyone at the camp, there is still some unease when your future remains up in the air as it does now. He'll keep his phone close by until it does finally ring
