Training camp wasn't as per usual for Hex Aqua-Key'Kiann. Hex was signed off waivers only a few days before, so the team was well into training camp already. Weirdly enough, most of the "workouts" he did for the Birddogs consisted of just drinking a whole lot of that high-quality water. While Hex was confused at first, he soon learned of all the benefits of water. Of course, the other players were doing workouts. Toastovich catching every pass going his way, Gaare trucking through everyone, and Marston laying out pretend defenders. Hex wasn't allowed to work out until he was fully hydrated, but near the end of camp, did get into some workouts. It was nice meeting everyone on the team and getting acquainted with them. However, as we all know, all good things must come to an end. While Training Camp was winding down, Hex took this opportunity to gather up the squad and deliver words of inspiration. It was your normal speech, saying how the dogs are gonna win it all and everything, but it mostly about getting the team bonded together. During the last few hours of training camp, the dogs held a vote for a captain on each side of the ball. To Hex's surprise, he had won the vote for defensive captain, even as a rookie! This left Hex feeling extremely happy, as he exited training camp with a huge smile and a drive to win.
