Another season has begun, and I think my player is just about to hit his peak. A scary thought, as he just won OLOTY two seasons ago and came in second of winning it again last season. Over this training camp Mellott has worked harder than ever to improve his blocking skills and become a total wall of destruction, and that has shown now with his blocking being more tenacious than ever. Along with this, Mellott has been working a lot with his long time teammates and newcomers alike, especially on the offensive side of the ball. He worked with his new offensive line teammate Cade Williams and has taken him under his wing to try and mentor him and make him the best player he can possibly be. He also has spent a lot of time with the new tight end of the team Adam Spencer, who previously played wide receiver for a few seasons but had bulked up and switched. So while he was an awesome receiver, he needed some help with his blocking. For some of the other offensive positions, he worked with the two running backs Rotchburns and Roman as well with their blocking, and also tried working with star receiver Ed Barker but since he is a bit older he kind of just rolled up to training camp when he wanted so he was late and Mellott did not get time to work with him. But he did get to work with the up and coming receivers Bodenhammer and the new rookie Crash. Finally he worked a lot with the defensive line consisting of Medicinal Toblerone, LeBong Simwell, and Azarius Ranger. All in all Mellott believes that all of this has helped the team a lot and while the team is still growing the future is looking bright.
