Almost midway through the season, Captain Rogers is becoming worn down on the field. Much to his surprise, he received a letter in the mail from a young fan from his home city of Brooklyn. It reads:
"Dear Mr. Rogers, thank you for all that you do for my favorite football team. You are my favorite player and you are from where I am from. I like seeing you run into people on the other teams and I think your shield is very cool. I have all your comic books and your movies are my favorite. I wanted to be just like you, but I am too sick to walk. I have my room in the doctors decorated with posters of you and the team. I would be so happy to meet you, but I know you are busy with football and fighting bad guys. Good luck this year Captain! Love, Jackson"
Taken aback by what he just read, Captain Rogers decides to make this kids wish come true. He fired up his motorcycle, put on his old uniform, and the star-spangled man headed to the hospital.
Upon meeting Jackson, Captain Rogers was surprised at just how much memorabilia this kid had of his and he was even wearing a Rogers jersey. The kid's face lit up like the night sky on the 4th of July! They talked for a good hour about Rogers' time in Germany, the Avengers, and of course, the Silverbacks football team. After their meeting, Rogers arranged for Jackson to meet up with the team, with the help of the doctors. On this day, Captain Rogers made a great little friend.
